"It was just like having dinner together as a group," Danny Luong, a Talent Coordinator at Sequoia Capital, told us after his team finished a ramen-making virtual team building class with The Story of Ramen

Danny connected with us via Offsyte. He explained that he was looking for something that connected his remote team of 13 people for an event beyond work. "We really all hadn't been together for a few weeks I believe," he said.
He told us he selected The Story of Ramen's virtual team building experience because of the interactive nature of the class. "I wanted something that was truly interactive," he said. "Having [meal kits delivered to homes] was something that really set you apart" [from other virtual cooking classes].
Meal Kit Deliveries
Like many employees, Danny's team is working remotely right now. His team is spread out through the Bay Area (Walnut Creek to Milpitas and San Mateo) as well as two team members in Colorado and Southern California. The Story of Ramen worked with Danny's team to deliver their ramen meal kits in the Bay Area and shipped kits to Colorado and Southern California. "It was great too that you did such a good job of deliveries with texts and delivery times beforehand. It really allowed me to make sure the team was freed up at the delivery time."
Class Experience
After learning about the ingredients used to make ramen noodles, Danny and his team all cooked and assembled their bowl of ramen noodles together while each was in his/her own kitchen. Afterwards, they celebrated with a group photo of their creations! "Folks really enjoyed it," he told us. "It was great too that you left the Zoom open for us afterwards. It was just like having dinner together as a group."
